Last year, this report of the annual fund-raising lunch of the Wrington Minibus Society consisted of photographs of people finding every inch of shade in the sun-drenched grounds of Yeomans. This year, the weather was so bad the committee had already had the foresight to decamp to the Memorial Hall a couple of days earlier. | |||||||
The occasion happened to coincide with the 90th birthday of Len Petty of Redhill, and Sue Pearce brought on a surprise cake for him, which was a cue for a chorus of 'Happy birthday to you" - and Len even managed to land a prize in the draw. | |||||||
