Wrington Web Archive Floods hit Wrington  Thursday, 26th July, 2007

Following a torrential downpour over lunchtime, Silver Street from the bridge to Rickyard Road became impassable, some adjoining houses were flooded, as were others in Garstons Close, especially near to Garstons Orchard, and the Glebe. North Somerset staff and the Avon Fire & Rescue Service were assisting residents, some of whom, with the help of neighbours, rapidly filled sandbags to limit further damage.
