The list of recipients on 17th June, 2006, included the son of Pat and Ron Riches. He was personally honoured as leader of the British submarine rescue team which last year saved the lives of 7 Russian submariners trapped 190 metres below the surface of the Pacific Ocean off the Kamchatka peninsula.

The creator of the Wrington website, Richard Thorn, was awarded the MBE for 'services to disabled people in Bristol, and to the community in the village of Wrington, North Somerset'.
