Wrington Web Archive Make Poverty History cycle ride  Saturday, 18th June, 2005

					The tree on the village green became one of many advertisements for the great Make Poverty History cycle ride organised by local churches and co-ordinated by the Rev Vanessa Cole, curate at St. Andrew’s, Congresbury. Over 100 cyclists of various ages were expected to join in, and each village - as in Wrington - had ‘pit-stops’ ' for refuelling and signing a petition to the Prime Minister.
