Wrington Web Archive Make Poverty History cycle ride Saturday, 18th June, 2005 |
The tree on the village green became one of many advertisements for the great Make Poverty History cycle ride organised by local churches and co-ordinated by the Rev Vanessa Cole, curate at St. Andrew’s, Congresbury. Over 100 cyclists of various ages were expected to join in, and each village - as in Wrington - had ‘pit-stops’ ' for refuelling and signing a petition to the Prime Minister. |
