A party was held at the Sports Pavilion in Silver Street on 31 October 2004, when members of their families helped them celebrate this momentous occasion.

In lieu of presents, the couple asked that a donation be made to The Babe Appeal, in memory of Christine, their late daughter, and the handsome sum of £605 was donated.
