Vera's two evenings of slides of Wrington old & new played to packed houses in the Reading Room. Quite apart from the careful selection of slides - full of surprises - there was the vital preliminary of last-minute instructions for her projectionist, Pauline Wathen. |

The slides covered the period from the 1950s until the present day, and, as usual on these occasions, Vera ensured most people would recognise most faces - even relative newcomers would know quite a few. Her meticulous planning (the tickets useful here ?) meant that most of her audience, too, made at least one appearance. And then ... the "light refreshments" ... |
