In the person of Steve Stickley, the Footprints Theatre Trust, based in Nottingham, came to the school to put on a performance of a new piece from their fund of stories from many lands
Working with the most basic of props - a ladder, some candles, and a couple of lengths of plastic sheeting - Steve conjured up a world which held his audience enthralled
Steve ensured their attention was also held by some audience participation and sound effects remotely controlled from his taperecorder
Small wonder then at the appreciative applause at the end ...
... or at the number spontaneously crowding round to put to Steve some of the ideas sparked off by his performance ..
... and ingenious use of his props
