The village lies in Wrington Vale with the Mendip hills away to the south. 

Behind the village Old Hill provides a
beautiful walk climbing up from Branches Cross, eventually reaching as far as Bristol International Airport.

fine spring morning when the bluebells were
at their best, and early enough to meet some wild deer.
