Wrington Women's Institute
Events 2013
Wrington WI recently held its annual fundraiser and this year supported Prostate Cancer UK. The audience was treated to an evening of song by The Royal Mail Choir, led
by David Ogden, and a delicious buffet supper prepared and served by members of Wrington WI.

Speaking about the event Chris Parnham, chair of Wrington WI said, "Members of the Royal Mail Choir sang at our Christmas party last year, and a brilliant time was
had by the audience and singers alike. This year, when
organising our fundraiser, we were delighted to be able to invite the choir back again, not only to perform, but to receive the proceeds as part of their fundraising campaign for Prostate Cancer UK".

A total of £870 was raised, which will be matched by Royal Mail. Jacky Seymour, postie in Wrington and Lower Langford said, " Once again we would like to offer our
immense gratitude to Wrington WI, and all who supported this event. We are very privileged to have raised so much money doing something we love. Particular thanks go to Chris Parnham and the team for all their hard work and for
making us all feel so welcome. Thanks also go to all who supported to the event, not just by attending the concert but also through the purchase of CDs, bracelets and raffle
tickets. In addition we would like to thank Pauline and Tony Jefferies for inviting choir members to the WI tea party hosted by them, to receive the cheque.”

Receiving the cheque from Chris Parnham are local postie Jacky Seymour and Kingswood posties Sam Fry and Steve Walters
