Wrington Sports (WS) played their second match away to City Slickers (CS) of St George Labour Club Bristol, and had a narrow win by 5 pins. However WS were tested by the small pins and wooden balls, and went into the last pairing 5 pins down, but due to a stalwart effort by WS players Sam Gilling and Gordon Blewitt WS came through to claim the game by 5 pins. Wrington Sports 236 vs City Slickers 231. Man of the match was shared by WS players Adam Machin and Sam Gilling who hit 35 pins each.

Once against WS were in top form for the return match at home, and produced a convincing win with a
scoreline of WS 334 vs CS 306. WS players Bob Lacey, Ray Bowden and Gordon Blewitt each securing spares.

Man of the match was Ray Bowden with score of 53. City Slickers were the friendliest of teams and excellent hosts at their venue.

We look forward to our next encounter against Bath City, last year's winners.
