Wrington Church of England Primary School has served the children of Wrington and surrounding areas for over a hundred and forty years, providing a high standard of education for many families over several generations.

The school is a friendly, happy place where adults and children work and play together with a sense of security and belonging and where everyone's views and property are respected. We have a system of positive discipline and associated rewards to promote a calm and purposeful atmosphere in school. The staff create a learning environment, which will stimulate children, and also has a caring ethos.

We have very supportive Governors who provide a wealth of experience from their varying backgrounds.

The main Victorian building houses two classes, the SEN area, a library / computer suite and a hall. In addition there are five outside classrooms, one on the playground and four on the large school field. Adjoining the main building is the old School House, which is now used for offices, staff room and pottery room.

Housing developments in the village have caused the school to grow to its present size without losing the family atmosphere we value so much. Indeed we like to think of our school as a family school.

We have a thriving PTA and parents are encouraged to come into school to work with children and teachers, to strengthen the team spirit, which is so important to our children's education. As we are in a village with a strong community spirit, we try to integrate the school into village life as much as possible.
