Broad Street Wrington Gardening Club

Current entry in the Village Journal

First of all a heartfelt apology for announcing the wrong speaker in the November Journal - no excuse as it was purely a mistake.

20th December - this meeting will take the form of our Christmas Social - mulled wine and mince pies plus our speaker Yvonne Bell taking us back to 'An Edwardian Christmas'.

17th January - James Cross will be updating us on the work being carried out at 'The Bishop's Palace Garden',Wells. A wonderful garden which is a combination of history, old architecture and plants - what better?

Anyone wishing to join us at either of these meetings will be very welcome - £2 entry

As usual our meetings start at 7.30pm in the Memorial Hall - do come along.

If you have any queries about the club do please contact me.

'Spending beyond their income on gifts for Christmas -
Swing doors and crowded lifts and draperied jungles -
What shall we buy for out husbands and sons
     Different from last year?'

Louis MacNeice - 'Christmas Shopping'

Well - here's the answer! - a Draper T.C.T. Multi-Sharpener
- a first class little tool costing approx £6.50 - plus it is in easy to open, fully recyclable, minimal packaging. I say well done Drapers!

Seasons Greetings to you All. Maggie Williams
