The Chairman opened the Meeting at 18.00 hours.

The Minutes of the Meeting held on 3rd Mayil 2005 were adopted without amendment.

Matters arising.

Golden Lion- application to vary opening hours. Withdrawn. There will be a resubmission and this will have a 28 day consultation period. Reference was made to a copy of a letter addressed to the Licensing Manager at North Somerset Council from a resident of Golden Lion Mews objecting to the original application.

Public Participation.

2 Members of the public in attendance. They spoke against the proposed development at Havyatt Industrial Estate on the grounds of:-

Vehicle movements per day envisaged to be in excess of 100- the application states approximately 30, concerns over road safety, road already in a bad state of repair.

They would wish to see the A38/Havyat Road as the main route into Wrington. The Council has already been instrumental in getting signage installed to get this in place. However one anomaly in that an advisory sign was also installed at the end of Havyatt and NSC has been asked to remove this and relocate at The Pound/A38 junction.

Residents will again be writing reiterating their objections.

Cllr. Glynn made the comment that the planning officer has already visited the site.

North Somerset Planning Committee Minutes – The Clerk Clerk commented on the Minutes of the South Area Committee meeting of 27th April. Some money still left over from last year’s area budget bidding scheme..

Planning Certificates issued by North Somerset Council – as per pre-meeting notes..

Other Planning Issues

1) 9 Garstons - mention made of the caravan on site. The Clerk was asked to establish whether this was acceptable.

2) Butcombe Brewery- new internal plan of the Visitor Centre No comment raised

3) Redhill Village Hall- proposed new signage to advertise the recycling units. A request from NSC to erect a new 2m x 1m sign. This was considered excessive and the Clerk was directed to write accordingly.

There being no other business the meeting was declared closed at 19.40 hours.
