... Fiona and Alan run the Thespians' bookstall to raise funds ..and Alan's jokes seem to work the oracle for
Fiona, warming their relationship considerably ... but Sally points out the serious lack of publicity ...
... late home, Michael realises he's forgotten their anniversary ... and Geraldine calls to deliver the bomb-
shell that she's scuppered Michael with the vicar... .. who's withdrawn permission to use the church hall ..
... at work Michael gets on to Alan to find an alternative venue ... but when his call's put through to
to report back that he's found the town hall's vacant .... Les overhears what's going on in office hours ...
...and fires Michael on the spot... Michael gets home from the town hall - and the pub - worse for wear ..
... and realises he's now missed the anniversary meal Lynne had prepared ... she reveals her affair with
Frank, and announces she's going home to mother ... despite Michael's protest that "I LOVE YOU, LYNNE"
