Would-be Director of 'the play', Michael, soliloquises ...   and imagines the witches gathering ...
... weaving their spells ...                                                    ... and disappearing whence they came ...
... but such persistent cogitations tend to interfere with his concentrating on his current role ...
... and his missed cues hardly endear him to his fellow thespians ...
... a situation pointed out by technical man-of-many-parts, Alan ...
... back in the dressing room, Michael lets Frank in on the problems which are causing his distractedness ...
... his ambitions to direct a seriously good production .... "like Rookery Nook ?" suggests Frank - "NO ! ...."
..."MACBETH !" roars Michael ...   to the horror of Frank who makes him ward off the bad luck with a twirl ..
... and tries to get his mind off his obsession ... but, is disturbed to hear that "Lynne sends her love" ...
... but his news that the next production is to be postponed revives Michael's hopes for 'that play' ...
