..... Lady W. being put out at the prospect of meeting that dreadful man, Mr Podgers again .....
..... who duly arrives with Lady Merton, who isn't at all sure of Arthur's suitability .....
..... Lady B's quite sure her past will prove to be a good, racy read, and Lady M wants to get on with it .....
..... Podgers, whilst giving Lady M. the impression of nothing untoward in Arthur's past - or future prospects - makes sure Lord A. realises he does, in fact, see something lurking in the woodshed - which turns out to be a prediction that he will commit a murder .....
..... which Lord A. decides had better take place before his wedding, and consults Baines as to the best means to employ. Baines favours poison, wolk bane, to be precise, anout whose properties he consults the relevant pharmacopoeia .....
..... which indicates wolf bane has the ideal properties, as indeed does Lady B. to become the recipient of those properties .....
