Wrington Businesses Steve Palmer - Electrician |
My background On leaving Chew Valley School, I joined South Western Electricity Board as an apprentice. After completing a four year apprenticeship, I qualified as an electrician working in Industrial, Commercial and Domestic environments. After 10 years' service, SWEB was privatised and I was forced to move on. Following a short spell in Australia, I joined a local Hotel and Country Club working in the maintenance department. I was promoted to Maintenance Manager leading a team of eight. And now ? It has always been my ambition to own my own company and last October I took the plunge into the unknown and started "EIA Electrical". Covering all aspects of commercial, domestic and agricultural electrical work, I am beginning to establish myself in Wrington Vale, the Chew Valley and surrounding areas. From small works like changing a light fitting to domestic and commercial rewires and fault finding, I now have a growing customer base which includes several local companies and many repeat domestic customers providing me with a varied workload which changes on an almost daily basis. With all works guaranteed and complying with the 16th edition IEE wiring regulations, I am working towards enrolment with the NICEIC - our governing body. For budding DIYers just phoning for advice, I am only a phone call away and always willing to help with tips and advice. Additional services I can offer include: Intruder Alarm installation, repair and maintenance. Electric showers wired and plumbed, TV & FM aerials, CCTV, Door Access, E7 heating and three-phase installations and repair. My aim is to provide a competitive, reliable, quality service to all my clients, whether they are large companies wanting maintenance contracts and call outs, to domestic customers wanting an extra light or socket.
