Broad Street Wrington ARCHIVE
Minibus lunch

Since the earliest days of the village minibus, a fund-raising lunch has been held in early August. For many years, this was at Yeomans, but latterly at Glaisters, by kind invitation of Fiona and Andrew Densham.
In 2000, it was on Saturday, 5th August

On this superbly sunny day, there were many sheltered spots in the gardens to take
the food.

A mouthwatering selection of quiches, sausages, and salads

As well as eating, there were opportunities to contribute to minibus funds at the drinks and draw tables

After a few well-chosen words from the Chairman, Brian Beck, it only remained for Fiona Densham to draw the first ticket for the draw .....

..... making some very happy, and others wishing they'd bought a different colour
ticket
