Special Interests

Here are a few of the signs of Romans in this area. The finds are generally found on their own and over quite an area within the Wrington parish. It is never possible to say that today I will find something Roman but when they do turn up it is always a big thrill.
Anything that reaches back nearly1800 years is special and in the case of the Phillipus coin back to 50 B.C. I wonder what it might have purchased in those far off times?
Who knows what is just lying there waiting for me to pass over the top with the detector beeping away!!
